The Product
Every bank exports data differently, and that makes it hard to get a full view of your finances. Better Bank Statements takes in raw CSV or XLSX files, normalizes columns, fixes dates, merges duplicates, and infers balances — so you can see the whole story in one place. No bank logins, no third-party apps, just a clean picture of your money that runs locally in your browser.
Banks update formats all the time, and we’re always trying to expand the formats we support, so please get in touch if we don’t support your bank’s statement formatting.
The Developers
I’m Jake, a software engineer from Ireland, and together with my wife we built Better Bank Statements. We started the project because merging our own finances was a nightmare, with statements scattered across different banks and formats. We believe strongly in privacy — no one should have to upload their banking data to a server just to make sense of it. That’s why Better Bank Statements runs entirely in your browser. What began as a tool to help us, has grown into something we hope makes managing money easier and safer for anyone facing the same challenge.
